SHAH ALAM, Jan 7 ― Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) leader Anina Saadudin was removed as leader of the party's women's wing Srikandi because of performance issues, party's president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said today.

He said Anina was given an undisclosed amount of funds to develop the wing, but was subsequently sacked from the position after she failed to show any developments with the wing.

"We gave her money to develop Srikandi but due to certain issues she could not develop Srikandi as required,” Muhyiddin said after the launch of the party's official song and website.

"But she is still a supreme council member of PPBM and we hope she would remain with the party,” he added.
