KUALA TERENGGANU, Dec 26 — The number of flood victims in the Kemaman district rose to 63 from 17 families as at 12 noon today.

According to a statement from the Social Welfare Department via the Flood Info application, all the victims were being placed at three evacuation centres in the district namely Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SKM) Badrul Alam Shah, Kemasik, the Kampung Padang Kemunting Community Hall and the Kampung Batu 9 Community Hall, Ibok.

"Twenty-six victims from eight families were evacuated to SMK Badrul Alam Shah, Kemasik, 16 victims from three families evacuated to the Kampung Padang Kemunting and 21 victims from six families had been moved to the Balai Raya Kampung Batu 9 Community Hall, Ibok,” it added. — Bernama
