KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 13 ― A businessman with the title "Datuk Seri” pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate's Court here today to a charge of voluntarily causing hurt on his wife.

Datuk Seri Halim Mohd Ali, 51, was charged with committing the offence on Rosarita Saad, 36, by pulling her hair, punching and slapping her on the head and face in an area near RHB Bank, Taman Shamelin Perkasa, Cheras here, at 11.30pm last November 23.

He faces an imprisonment of up to two years, or fine of not more than RM4,000 or both, if found guilty.
