LUNDU, Dec 8 — A man who was reported missing after going out to check on his fishtraps in Sungai Stum here on Tuesday evening, was today found hanged from a tree in a jungle.
He was identified as Romy Anak Lego, 25.
A Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said Romy was found hanged about 11.30am, about two kilometres from Kampung Stungkor Lama, Lundu.
A police team aided by villagerss removed the body from the jungle about 2pm.
About 4pm yesterday, a search operation involving villagers, police and firemen was mounted following an alert by the victim’s father, Lego Anak Ngigon.
Lego, 48, lodged a police report on the missing man at the Lundu police station after efforts to locate him failed. — Bernama
