No deaths, Empire City developer says after crane toppled

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 6 ― The developer of Empire City in Damansara Perdana has confirmed that no one died or was injured after a crane fell down at the site yesterday.

Mammoth Empire Construction Sdn Bhd also said the Department of Occupational Safety and Health Selangor (DOSH) and the Construction Industry Development Board Selangor (CIDB) have visited the site and carried out their respective investigation with regards to the safety aspects of the mishap.

"Both authorities have duly completed investigations. We will work and co-operate with both DOSH and CIDB towards ensuring adherence of all necessary safety measures and standard operating procedures,” it said in a statement today.

The incident happened at a construction site located in front of the Inland Revenue Board building at Empire Bandar Damansara Perdana, Selangor just days after another construction accident at the KL Eco City project in Kuala Lumpur that killed one Vietnamese migrant worker and injured four others.
