KOTA BARU, Dec 3 — A car repossessor was hacked to death with machetes after being attacked by six men disguised as policemen in Kampung Air Merah, Batu Gajah, Tanah Merah earlier yesterday. 

Kelantan deputy police chief SAC Din Ahmad said the victim, Wan Ishak Wan Ismail, 48, died at the scene due to severe injuries to his back and left leg with his right wrist almost severed. 

"The victim was approached by a group of six men at his home at 2am today before being hacked with machetes. 

"Initial investigations revealed the motive as revenge and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder,” he said when met at the Omar Abdul Aziz Mosque in Ketereh here, yesterday. 

Meanwhile, the victim’s wife Daengbut Rattana, 45, from Thailand said she and her four children, aged between two and 18 years, were in the house while her husband stayed outside by a camp fire. 

"Shortly after that, I heard someone asked me open the door saying they were police, but when I opened the door I found six men carrying machetes and started attacking my husband,” she said.  —Bernama
