According to The Star on its website, George Town OCPD Asst Comm Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said the four were receiving treatment.

He added that RTM cameraman Mohamad Amirul Amin, 28, who was shot as he was riding past the scene was no longer in critical condition.

"The bullet has been removed and his condition is stable,” Mior was quoted as saying.

Unconfirmed reports describe the shooter as the bodyguard of Datuk Ong Teik Kwong, 32, who was among those killed.

Police arrested the shooter at 7.30 pm. The motive for the shooting has not been determined.
