KUALA TERENGGANU, Nov 29 ― The state government is always monitoring the flood situation and taking necessary precautions to face the monsoon season.
"Local authorities and government agencies have been directed to be ready to help when necessary.
"The public are advised to cooperate with the authorities, especially if asked to evacuate,” he said in a statement here today.
Meanwhile, in Kemaman, 83 people from 16 families were evacuated to relief centres at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Badrul Alam Shah and Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Telok Kalong here as of this evening.
District officer Rosman Roslan said the relief centre at SMK Badrul Alam Shah was the first centre opened in the state.
