KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 23 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak wants all ministries to come up with detailed plans for the financial allocations they will receive under Budget 2017 that was approved by the Dewan Rakyat last night.

He said the government shouldered the responsibility of ensuring that all approved programmes reached the people through effective implementation and met the objectives of the allocations provided in Supply Bill 2017.

"Alhamdulillah (Praise be to God), the Supply Bill 2017 or Budget 2017 was approved by the Dewan Rakyat.

"I want every ministry to ensure there are detailed plans for the allocations given,” he said in the latest post on his Facebook and Twitter accounts.

The Dewan Rakyat last night approved the Supply Bill 2017 through block voting, with 105 MPs voting for, 73 against and one abstaining following a debate since October 24.

Najib had tabled the Bill on October 21, proposing a budget totalling RM260.8 billion for 2017. — Bernama
