Najib arrives in Tokyo for working visit

TOKYO, Nov 15 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak arrived here today for a three-day working visit to Japan to further boost bilateral ties.

Upon arrival at about 7.30am local time (6.30am Malaysian time) Najib and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, were greeted among others, by the Malaysian Ambassador to Japan, Datuk Ahmad Izlan Idris and officials from the embassy.

During the visit, the prime minister will be accompanied by two ministers in the Prime Minister's Department, namely, Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim and Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahalan.

Najib is scheduled to hold talks with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe before a dinner at the prime minister's official residence in Tokyo tomorrow.

The prime minister will also receive courtesy calls from the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Japan External Trade Organisation, Hiroyuki Ishige, and members of the Japan-Malaysia Parliamentary Friendship Association, to exchange views on bilateral cooperation and regional issues. — Bernama
