Four bodies found in Bachok: Three more Myanmar nationals remanded

KOTA BARU, Nov 12 — Three Myanmar men were remanded for seven days beginning today to facilitate an investigation following the discovery of four bodies in Kampung Tanjung Hilir, Bekelam, Bachok, on Oct 30.

The remand order was issued by court’s registrar Mohd Rusli Ahmad at the Magistrate’s Court, here today.

Kelantan Police chief Datuk Dr Ab Rahman Ismail said the three suspects, aged between 30 and 55, were nabbed in a special operation carried out by the Bukit Aman Serious Crime Division the Kelantan Police yesterday.

"Two suspects were arrested at the compound of Ar Rahmah mosque, Kok Lanas here, at 4.30pm, while the other was picked up at a house in Taman Sri Kalong, Kok Lanas at 10pm,” he said when contacted here adding that the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

On Nov 4, four Myanmar men, in their 20s, were detained by the Kelantan police to facilitate investigation into the case.

On Oct 30, residents of Kampung Tanjung Hilir, Bekelam were shocked by the discovery of four bodies that were dumped at a bush area in the village.

The Myanmar nationals aged between 20 and 30, were believed to have been dead for three days. — Bernama
