Negri bans use of ‘Luak Johol’ insignia by motorists

JOHOL, Nov 10 ― Undang Luak Johol, Datuk Johan Pahlawan Lela Perkasa Setiawan, Datuk Muhammad Abdullah has banned the use of the "Luak Johol” insignia by motorists.

Orang Besar Balai Undang Luak Johol, Datuk Jenang Zakaria Mohammad said the  ban applies to all vehicle owners nationwide currently using the "Luak Johol” insignia, the "Balai Undang Luak Johol” sticker, "Undang Luak Johol” coat of arms and tinted glass.

"As such, all approval letters for 'Balai Undang Luak Johol' sticker, 'Undang Luak Johol' coat of arms and tinted glass for vehicles are withdrawn with immediate effect," he said in a media statement here, today.

Datuk Muhammad also decided that all individual identification cards with the words "Istana Undang Luak Johol” and "Kerabat Istana” were void with immediate effect.

Zakaria said a decision on this matter had been communicated to "Dewan Keadilan dan Undang Negeri Sembilan” and the Negri Sembilan state government for further action.

A police report had been made and the police were urged to act in accordance with the law against any individual or party who defied the Undang Luak Johol's decision on the ban of the use of the "Luak Johol” insignia.

On October 19, Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan announced that the state government had recognised Datuk Muhammad Abdullah as the 15th Undang Luak Johol effective October 7, replacing Datuk Mohd Jan Abdul Ghani. ― Bernama
