KUANTAN, Oct 25 ― Fourteen passengers faced anxious moments when the express bus they were travelling in skidded and overturned at Km71, Jalan Kuantan-Segamat, Pekan near here today. 

Pekan district police chief Supt Amran Sidek said the SP Bumi express bus was travelling from Kuantan to Johor Bahru when the incident occurred at about 3.30pm.

"The accident was believed to have occurred when the express bus driver tried to overtake the vehicle in front but he was shocked to see another vehicle coming from the opposite direction before veering to the right side of the road.

"However, no deaths or injuries were reported and the bus did not disrupt the traffic flow because it skidded on the road shoulder,” he said when contacted, here, today.

Amran said all the passengers were then transferred to another bus to continue with their journey. ― Bernama
