KOTA KINABALU, Oct 25 — Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman must explain his involvement in a commercial high rise development in Ampang Hilir, Kuala Lumpur which lists him as the landowner, Parti Warisan Sabah leaders said today.

The party’s vice-president Junz Wong and youth chief Datuk Aziz Jamman said that they came across the project and was perplexed to find that the project listed the "Sabah Chief Minister” as the landowner of the 3 Towers project in Ampang Hilir.

"It was confusing as we do not have any idea of the existence of this project. Does the land belong to the state or does it belong to him? If the latter is true why isn’t it under his name? If the former is true, why does it say it belongs to the Chief Minister and why are the people not informed?” Wong told a news conference here.

"Is the Chief Minister’s Department allowed to own land? If it is the State’s land, what are the benefits of the project to Sabahans?

"Perhaps it is a ‘Rumah Sabah’ of sorts and we can stay there at a discounted rate? We do not have bad intentions in asking but we would like to know,” said Aziz.

The two said they visited the project site last week and observed it was about 70 per cent completed structurally. They also did not know how much the project was worth.

The signboard and a search on the internet showed the project by developers Sri Donglai Sdn Bhd is called 3 Towers and is a mixed development project along Jalan Ampang. It comprises office suites, hotel and SoHo that are spread over three blocks of towers.

"We were told it was a joint venture between the Sabah state government and the developers but we are in the dark about the details of it.  If it is state land and was approved by the state Cabinet, surely they would want to publicise it and let us know of its benefits,” said Wong.
