KOTA BARU, Oct 7 — The Women, Family and Community Development has set aside RM2.4 million to the Social Welfare Department (JKM) to fill its five disaster supply depots with essential items for flood victims this year.
"This includes personal hygiene kits which will be given to every affected individual instead of just one for each family.
"We will also provide a better quality and easy-to-dry fabric room divider to give more privacy and comfort to the victims,” Minister Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim told reporters after visiting one of the disaster supply depots in Pengkalan Chepa here yesterday.
Also present were JKM director-general Datuk Zulkiply Ramli and Kelantan JKM director Muhamad Hanafi Maulud.
The four other depots were in Terengganu, Kedah, Selangor and Johor. — Bernama
