TANJONG KARANG, Oct 1 — The Selangor government is seen as "confusing the people” over the frequent water disruptions by blaming Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) personnel over an act of alleged sabotage.

Selangor Umno chairman, Tan Sri Noh Omar said Air Selangor, in a statement had said a personnel was suspended on suspicion of mischief which disrupted water supply to 340,000 consumers in Klang and Petaling on September 1.

He said the worker was suspended on September 6 but an announcement on the matter was only made by Air Selangor at the end of last month.

"Why was the statement on causing mischief made when the water crisis was taking place? If it is true the problem of water supply disruption in Klang and Petaling on September 1 was due to sabotage, why speak out only after a month?

"Is the statement issued to divert attention on the frequent water supply disruptions in the state,” he asked at a media conference after attending an event here today. — Bernama
