KUANTAN, Sept 29 ― A patient at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital here died after falling from the eighth floor of the hospital building in an incident at 1.50 pm today.

Liew Sun Heng, 54, succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at the intensive care unit.

Kuantan Police Chief ACP Abdul Aziz Salleh said the victim was admitted to the hospital last Tuesday after complaining of chest pain and was later diagnosed with lung disease.

"He is also a drug addict and a hardcore alcoholic,” Abdul Aziz told Bernama.

He said the police found no foul play and the case was classified as sudden death. ― Bernama
