Dad and two kids found dead in Segambut apartment

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 26 — A man and two of his children were found dead at a unit of the Nova Apartments in Sri Sinar, Segambut, here today were believed to have been dead for more than 48 hours.

Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Amar Singh Ishar Singh said this was based on the condition of the bodies of the three victims.

He said the victims were identified as Cheah Hing Soon, 34, who was found dead facing up in the master bedroom, while his daughter Cheah Kai Sze, three, and seven-month-old baby boy Cheah Kai Wen were found in the second bedroom.

Police checks inside the house did not reveal any weapons which were connected to their murders.

"The house has three rooms and there were no signs of break-ins, although it was in disarray,” he said in a statement here tonight.

He added that police had detained the victim’s wife, 35, to help in the investigations.

Meanwhile, a woman neighbour, who did not want to be identified, said the last time she met the couple was last Saturday in the house.

"I did not hear any screams or fights between them,” she said. —Bernama
