KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 12 — Retired deputy inspector-general of police Tan Sri Abdul Kudus Alias died today at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre here. He was 86.

Abdul Kudus leaves behind wife Puan Sri Nely Ainor Abdullah, 84, and six children.

His daughter, Maznah, 59, said her father died at 10.25am.

"My father had been at the hospital for the past three weeks because of breathing difficulties,” she told Bernama.

Abdul Kudus was buried at the Bukit Kiara Muslim cemetery at 3.40pm.

He was the deputy IGP in the 80s. — Bernama
