KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 18 ― The tactic of two men using a luxurious condominium in the city as a syabu packaging centre was exposed by the police with drugs worth RM400,000 being seized on Tuesday.

Dang Wangi District Police Chief ACP Zainol Samah said the two men aged between 48 and 53 were arrested at the condominium’s parking lot in a raid at 1.30 pm.

Police found 20 packets believed to contain syabu weighing 4,670 grams hidden in the bedroom and living room of the unit.

"We also seized a fake pistol, two parang, two digital weighing scales and syabu smoking utensils,” he said at press conference here today.

Zainol said the suspects were believed to be active in drug trafficking operations in the capital since last year and the urine test found both to be positive of drugs.

He said both suspects were remanded for seven days beginning Tuesday and the case was being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for drug possession and upon conviction shall be sentenced to death. ― Bernama
