SUBANG JAYA, Aug 9 — The police have detained seven private college students, comprising six Africans and a local in connection with the seizure of ganja weighing 4.067kg during separate raids here.
The suspects, who studied at private colleges in the Klang Valley were picked up last Thursday.
Initial police investigations revealed the men, aged between 21 and 25, were linked to drug distribution.
Subang Jaya police chief ACP Mohammad Azlin Sadari said the seized ganja was worth about RM12,000 at street value.
He said three of the suspects, including the local man, were picked up at a road-shoulder in Jalan SS14 here when four ganja slabs weighing 4.043kg were found in a bag inside a car boot.
The arrests led to another raid at a house in Jalan SS12, where another four suspects were nabbed and ganja weighing 24 grams seized.
The seven suspects tested positive for drugs and were remanded for seven days, beginning last Friday. — Bernama
