IPOH, Aug 3 — A man with slash wounds on the head was found dead at the car porch of a house in Laluan Temenggong, Pasir Puteh, today.

Ipoh police chief ACP Sum Chang Keong said the victim, identified only as Raymond, 35, was found by passers-by at the two-storey terrace house at about 7.30am.

"The victim who is from Buntong, here, was found faced-down and in a pool of blood, and there were slash wounds on the right side of his head.

"Initial investigations found that the incident had occurred a few hours before the body was found by the public. Police also found a wallet and a mobile phone believed to be the victim’s,” he told reporters here.

He said the occupants of the house, comprising three women, however, were unaware of the incident.

Sum said the police were conducting further investigations in the surrounding area, including investigating traces of blood which were found nearby the house, in addition to interviewing witnesses.

He said the body was sent to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital for post-mortem. — Bernama
