No objection for ‘Pokemon Go’ to be released in Malaysia, minister says

PUTRAJAYA, July 26 — Malaysia has neither objection nor restriction for the free mobile game application, Pokemon Go, to be released in the country, says Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak.

"Even though some countries may restrict it, but we in Malaysia...we have not reached that stage,” he told the media at the Communications and Multimedia Ministry’s Aidilfitri do here yesterday.

Pokemon Go, developed by Niantic Incorporation of Nintendo USA has set a new wave of augmented reality game in the history of smartphone applications. — Bernama
