Three Myanmar nationals decapitated in Penang clash

SEBERANG PERAI, July 12 — Three Myanmar nationals were decapitated and one was injured in what is believed to be a fight at a terrace house at Lorong Nagasari 1, Taman Nagasari, here early yesterday morning.

A group of eight men, believed to be also Myanmar nationals, stormed the house where the victims were staying and attacked them as they were having a bath in the porch area.

Two of the victims were identified as Naing Win, 28, and Kyaw Hoe, 33.

The third person who died is believed to be a 24-year-old intruder.

The injured person is being treated at the Seberang Jaya Hospital.

It is believed the victims were working at a factory producing fasteners in Bukit Tengah.

State CID chief SAC Datuk Razarudin Husain @ Abdul Rasid said 15 Myanmar nationals had been arrested to assist in investigations.

"We are trying to ascertain the motive behind the attack. The dead and injured man had numerous slash and stab wounds all over the body,” said Razaruddin.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

Over the past few years, there have been several cases of unexplained murders of Myanmar nationals in the state​.

It is believed that revenge was behind some of the incidents.
