KUALA LUMPUR, June 29 — The police are not ruling out any aspects including terrorism on the recent bombing that took place at the Movida Bar and Lounge in Puchong.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar warned the public to stop speculating and let the cops do their job by investigating all aspects of the bombing.

"We are investigating all angles including terrorist elements. Let us do our duty and when the time comes we will make the necessary statement,” he told reporters during a press conference today.

Khalid added that rumours like the one being spread on social media where a Malaysian Islamic State (IS) member claimed to be behind the attacks, should not be entertained.

"For now, a lot of parties can claim that it was doing. We should not give any recognition to them. When we give them recognition, they will be more brave [sic],” he said

The police chief added that since it was the month of Ramadan, the holy month for Muslims, the public should refrain from spreading false stories which can cause unrest.

"Don’t make false stories during the Ramadhan month. Don’t make up stories that are not true.

"In this issue, I ask all parties not to make unnecessary comments. We are investigating the case, leave it to us. If there is an offence, we will take action,” Khalid said.

Eight people were reported to have been injured after a hand grenade exploded on the front porch of Movida in IOI Boulevard here early yesterday morning

Those injured were patrons of the bar who were watching a Euro 2016 football match when the explosion occurred.
