KOTA BARU, June 23 ― PAS is fully prepared to face the challenges should the 14th general election (GE14) be held next year, its deputy spiritual leader Datuk Ahmad Yakob said.

He said the party had been making preparation for the GE14 ever since the 2013 general election was concluded.

"It’s just that the early preparation we did before was not really comprehensive,” he told reporters after the presentation of Raya cookies to security forces personnel at Kota Darul Naim Complex here today.

Ahmad said this in response to a question on PAS’ preparation if the GE14 were to be held next year following Barisan Nasional major victories at the Kuala Kangsar and Sungai Besar by-elections last week.

On DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang’s allegation that PAS was getting weaker in Kelantan, Ahmad, who is also Kelantan Menteri Besar, said Lim just said that because he himself was weak. ― Bernama
