KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 — The Defence Ministry is looking into improving 35 types of military personnel allowances, the Dewan Negara was told today.

Deputy Defence Minister Datuk Mohd Johar Baharom said out of the total, 22 were payments for facilities incentives available such as the flight incentive, Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) aircraft technicians incentive, ATM special force incentive, rapid deployment force incentive and Sabah Sarawak/peninsular incentive.

Replying to Senator Datuk Yahaya Mat Ghani during the question-and-answer session, he said the ministry was constantly conducting studies to identify allowance/incentive pertaining to new tasks and expertise.
