Najib hosts official dinner for Cambodian PM

PUTRAJAYA, June 3 ― Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today hosted an official dinner in honour of visiting Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and wife Bun Rany Hun Sen at Seri Perdana here. 

Present were Najib's wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor; Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid, Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa Foreign Ministry secretary-general Datuk Othman Hashim and the Cambodian delegates.

Also present was Malaysian Ambassador to Cambodia, Datuk Seri Hasan Malek.

Upon arrival at the Seri Perdana Complex, Najib greeted Hun Sen and Bun Rany and later ushered them to the  Protocal Hall foyer where local fruits including durian, pisang montel, rambutan, Malay  apple, pineapple jackfruit, dokong and dragon fruit were put on display. 

Najib then introduced and explained about the fruits to Hun Sen and Bun Rany.

Also on display at the Protocol Hall foyer were products from the Malaysian Cocoa Board such as chocolates, cookies and some cocoa based cosmetics. 

After viewing the fruits and cocoa products, the dinner began in the Protocol Hall with entertainment from various songs and dance including joget. 

The guests were feted to a combination of Malay and western menu.

Hun Sen is on a two-day official visit to Malaysia beginning today.

He arrived on Wednesday and attended the 25th World Economic Forum on Asean in Kuala  Lumpur over two days up to yesterday. ― Bernama
