KOTA BARU, June 2 ― No decision has been made on the motion by PAS's women's wing for the Islamist party to cut off all ties with PKR, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang said today.

“No decision has been made on the matter. We will discuss,” the PAS president told reporters after officiating the PAS Muktamar here.

He also insisted that he alone should not make a ruling on the motion.

“It is not my decision to make. It must be the party's decision,” he said.

Yesterday, the PAS Mulimat wing approved without debate a resolution to cut off ties with PKR, citing the latter’s cooperation with PAS offshoot party Amanah as among the main reasons.

It also said that PKR made decisions without consulting PAS.

Despite the collapse of the Pakatan Rakyat coalition, PAS has maintained ties with PKR to enable it to rule Selangor along with PKR and DAP.

The motion will be referred to the party's influential Syura Council for a decision.
