KUALA LUMPUR, April 29 — PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang led a Christian woman in Kota Kinabalu to embrace Islam, according to video posted on his Facebook page today.

In the 1-minute-13-second video, Hadi is seen guiding the young girl to recite the Muslim profession of faith that is made when a person enters Islam.

“On this blessed Friday morning, over illuminating lectures at a home beside the Rusila mosque, history was made when Tok Guru led a girl from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah to embrace Islam, back to the natural religion,” read the post with the video.

The scene was reminiscent of controversial Muslim preacher Dr Zakir Naik, who publicly converted several Christians to Islam during his talks here earlier this month.

Malaysian law forbids the proselytisation of religions other than Islam to Muslims, but not vice versa.
