Ikatan and PAS address political issues and public concerns together

KUALA LUMPUR, 27 April — The Parti Ikatan Bangsa Malaysia (Ikatan) and PAS have established a secretariat to draft a proposal in addressing various political issues and concerns of the public. 

The President of Ikatan, Tan Sri Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir said the proposal was expected to be presented to the government after the Sarawak State Election next month.  

“Ikatan and PAS will present a basic proposal in the format of a Memorandum of Understanding and engage with the government as well as the public, in stating our views,” he told reporters after officiating the launching of Ikatan, here yesterday.

Abdul Kadir said the proposal would emphasise on two important things, among them the issue of corruption and the market price of rubber, including the income of paddy farmers. — Bernama
