KUALA LUMPUR, April 2 — Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar has told police to find and arrest the individual who accused him of being corrupt in a tweet directed at the US Justice Department.

“PCIRC @PDRMsia trace and arrest this person who is trying to incite the public with these excessive allegations,” he wrote on his @KBAB51 Twitter account, referring to the Police Cyber Investigation Response Centre.

The Inspector-General of Police’s message was appended with a now-deleted tweet by a user that read: “@TheJusticeDept Beware of  @KBAB51 He is corrupt-not good police. He protects @NajibRazak #1MDB @ShazGhaf @TianChua.”

@TheJusticeDept is the Twitter account of the US Justice Department while @NajibRazak is that of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

US Justice Department investigators were recently in Malaysia to obtain information from two banks for an investigation linked to 1Malaysia Development Bhd.
