KUALA LUMPUR, March 8 — Voice 370 has been a bold mouthpiece to the families of victims on board the ill-fated flight, with the aim of keeping the authorities on their toes until the plane is found.

Last week, Voice 370 released a statement pleading with the authorities not to throw in the towel and to start “re-investigating, re-evaluating and re-starting” the search.

They also said the depletion of the funds for the search is an unacceptable reason to cease the search operations.

“It should continue beyond 2016 because international aviation stands to benefit immensely from the answers the search would yield,” said the group.

Last month, Voice 370 reached out to the international community to send in hopes and wishes through a video message and has since uploaded over 20 videos on its Youtube channel, Voice370 Media.

In a brief one-minute video, Catherine Leyow from the United Kingdom said: “As a parent, I think the worst thing is to lose a child but to lose a child and not know, we must find out as much as we can.”

Students from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom, also pledged their support, urging authorities not to give up on the search.

Hiba Thobani from Pakistan pledged her support and assured the victims’ families they are not alone.

“Hope is the strongest human emotion and the whole world is waiting for answers together with you,” she said.

Addressing the victims’ families, Lyana Khairuddin from Kuala Lumpur said MH370 is a national tragedy.

“All Malaysians are still behind you, still supporting you,” she said in her video.

Voice 370 was formed in the wake of the tragedy to act as a support group for over 300 family members from various nations.

On May 8, 2014, the group published an open letter to the head of states of Malaysia, Australia and China, urging all relevant authorities to analyse data and information collected from the search “without predetermination or bias”.

The group also pleaded for the investigation teams to determine what happened in order to provide closure for the families, relatives and friends of those on board the flight.

Voice 370 also launched a crowd-sourcing campaign to raise US$5 million (RM20.4 million) to hire private investigators to conduct their own search for the missing plane.People around the world expressing their hopes for MH370 to be found.
