KUALA LUMPUR, March 8 — “March 8, 2014. It seems like yesterday, only it is not. But a long awaited two years for some answer that never comes,” says Ida Hasnan, the sister of MH370 steward Mohd Hazrin Mohamed Hasnan.
She expressed sorrow via her Facebook account today, two years after the Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight vanished.
“Rain Hasnan, I miss you beyond words, and I love you. This is the first pic (picture) I shared after you went missing, thanks to Sariza Said (a friend who) posted (it) a day after the 8th (of March) as I was busy glueing myself in front of the TV news for some updates. What happened on the 8th is very clear to me.
Sometimes, we wish 8th March 2014 never existed, but it did.
“Rain, you are constantly in our prayers. We look forward to seeing you soon.
Please take some time to pray for our beloved brother, son and father, Hazrin Hasnan, and the rest of the 238 people on board #MH370. May justice prevail for all innocent lives. Amin. See you soon, Rain!,” said Ida.
The Beijing-bound flight MH370, a Boeing 777, with 239 passengers and crew on board went missing on the early morning of March 8, 2014, after departing from KL International Airport.
Mohd Hazrin’s wife, Intan Maizura Othman, in her instagram@intanmaizuraothaman said: “I will stay strong, always feeling happy...but only God knows how I really feel...I need to be strong and happy for the sake of my children”.
Intan’s posting received more than 800 ‘likes’ and also words of encouragement.
Maira Elizabeth Nari, the daughter the MH370’s chief steward Andrew Nari, said in her Instagram @mairaelizabethnari: “You flew up high, all did. It was beautiful. May it reach to each and everyone of you.” Her Instagram posting received more than 500 ‘likes’ and replies, including from @safiaisk who said: “Sending you and family plenty of my love and prayers, Maira.” One of her followers, @sally_8176, said: “You’re always strong. Really adore with your spirit.....keep strong girl.” Meanwhile, Maira in her Twitter account @Gorgxous_ said: “Two years ago at this time, I was sleeping. Two years ago, in another 15-50 minutes more, the news broke and I was still sleeping. “Two years ago today, during the phase, it brought everyone no matter what race and religion became one, so strong, supportive and praying.” Her twitter post received more than 120 retweets and 76 ‘likes’. — Bernama
