KUALA LUMPUR, March 6 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak met with Barisan Nasional parliamentarians at his official residence Seri Perdana yesterday for a pre-council meeting, according to Berita Harian.

The meeting was held ahead of Parliament resuming its sitting tomorrow, but also one day after the opposition joined hands with former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and prominent Najib critics from Umno to sign a citizens’ declaration against Najib’s leadership.

According to the report, the meeting took place last night and lasted for an hour beginning 8.30pm.

However, Kuala Pilah MP Datuk Seri Hasan Malek was quoted in the report as saying that the meeting only discussed the orders for the Parliament session.

“This is a normal meeting to discuss the order and motions for the next Parliament session,” he reportedly said.
