MIRI, March 5 — The Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for Pujut state seat, Adam Yii Siew Sang lodged a police report after his house in Pujut was broken into by unknown intruders yesterday evening.
Yii, who is Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) publicity and information secretary, said the police report was lodged at 6pm yesterday.
“The thieves entered my house through the kitchen window and ransacked everything but they only managed to take my coins which I deposited everyday estimated at between RM200 to RM300,” he told Bernama here today.
Yii said the break-in was discovered after he returned home at 3.30pm yesterday but they only got away with coins while valuable items such as laptops were left untouched.
“The police picked up two fingerprints from the crime scene and hopefully the culprits can be arrested soon,” he added. — Bernama
