KUALA LUMPUR, March 5 — The so-called Citizen’s Declaration aimed at ousting Datuk Seri Najib Razak as prime minister is a desperate move doomed to fail, says Makkal Sakti president Datuk R. S. Thanenthiran.

He said the alliance of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, former deputy prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and former Kedah menteri besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir had lost its credibility upon collaborating with the opposition for that purpose.

“When they did not succeed in removing the prime minister by accusing and defaming him, they try to gain sympathy from the opposition by collaborating with them in the move.

“Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) members will not forgive them until their last breath,” he told Bernama here today.

Thanenthiran believed the move did not represent Umno or BN but only a personal attack to take revenge against Najib.

“If they think Najib is not right, wait until the 14th General Election (GE14) and if you feel you can win the battle, go to the battleground (GE14),” he challenged.

Yesterday, 58 people, led by Dr Mahathir, signed the declaration. — Bernama
