Weak earthquake hits Lahad Datu this morning

KUALA LUMPUR, March 4 — An earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter Scale occurred in Lahad Datu, Sabah at 8.43am today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department.

MetMalaysia in a statement said the quake hit an area located about 35 kilometres southeast of Lahad Datu.

The epicentre of the quake is at 4.9 North and 118.6 East. Tremors may be felt in Lahad Datu,” it said. — Bernama
