SHAH ALAM, Feb 19 — Selangor PAS is trying to garner more support from non-Muslims to the party in the state through a programme called “Green Silk”.

The programme which aims to provide information and understanding on the struggle of PAS is expected to be attended by PAS President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang in an event in Klang on Tuesday.

Selangor PAS National Unity chairman Dr Halimah Ali said it was targeted at the Chinese and Indians as these two communities were important for PAS to strengthen its influence in Selangor.

“This programme is in line with the slogan of PAS as a party for all,” she told reporters here today.

The Selat Klang assemblyman said efforts to garner the support of non-Muslims was among the early preparations by PAS to face the coming general election. — Bernama
