KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 11 — Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang cannot be racist as he has a daughter-in-law who is Chinese, PAS information chief Nasrudin Hassan said today.

In a Facebook posting, Nasrudin posted a picture of the PAS president’s son, Yusuf Abdul Hadi and his daughter in law, Aisyah Lim visiting their Chinese family during Chinese New Year.

“A lot of parties accuse YB Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang of being anti-Chinese, racist and all that.

“But not a lot realise that Hadi has a Chinese daughter in law named Aisyah Lim, wife to Ustaz Yusuf Abdul Hadi,” the caption to the picture read.

Hadi has been accused of being a racist and anti-Chinese due to his repeated attempts to push for hudud in Kelantan.

The Marang MP’s on-going spat with the predominantly Chinese DAP has also reinforced claims of him being a racist.

PAS has denied these claims in the past, and has stressed that Islam remains its only agenda.
