Adenan denies announcement on Sarawak public holiday tomorrow

KUCHING, Feb 9 — The Chief Minister’s Office has denied a widely circulated news on Tan Sri Adenan Satem’s purported annoucement of a public holiday tomorrow.

Adenan’s press secretary Ambrose Cheng dismissed the news as untrue.

“It is done with malicious intent. However, the CM (chief minister) has

cautioned the public to be vigilant and abide by directives of the Operation Room personnel on their safety, in the event of flood in their areas.

“Should they be required to evacuate, they should do so for their own safety,” he said in a statement here tonight. — Bernama
