Khairy calls on Malaysians to unite and enjoy the Chinese New Year festivities

SEREMBAN, Feb 6 — Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin hopes the Chinese New Year to be celebrated on Monday can be enjoyed by all Malaysians and used to enhance unity amidst challenging times.

“Malaysians of various races and religions have gone through a lot together. Hopefully the Monkey Year will give us happiness, good health and prosperity surrounded by loved ones,” he said on his Facebook page.

Khairy, who is also Umno Youth chief sent out Happy Chinese New Year greetings to the Chinese community on this auspicious occasion.

“Besides giving ‘ang pow’ and visiting relatives, the most important thing is the strong family spirit. “Do not forget to exercise and eat healthily, for the sake of the family and FitMalaysia. Gong Xi Fa Cai.” — Bernama
