PETALING JAYA, Jan 9 — An eight-year-old Leukaemia patient couldn’t stop smiling as his wish to ride in a police patrol car came true today.

Muhammad Alif Aqil Shaiful Azhar, who was diagnosed with Leukaemia last year, expressed his excitement and happiness at having the opportunity to ride in a police patrol car with other family members.

Idolising the Inspector Sani character of the movie “Polis Evo” played by Zizan Razak, the second of three siblings came to the Damansara police station, accompanied by his mother and other siblings.

“I love to watch Polis Evo, I like the Inspector Sani character. I want to be like him (policeman) to combat crime activities,” he told reporters.

Petaling Jaya district police chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Din said the event was made possible through a collaboration between the Royal Malaysia Police and a non-governmental organisation ‘Make A Wish’, with the help from doctrs at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

“Such a programme was first held in 2012 and today is the second time. More programmes will be held in the future,” he said.
