KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 30 — The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) was finally able to question former 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) CEO Datuk Shahrol Azral Ibrahim Halmi, more than three months after he was initially scheduled to meet the parliamentary committee.
Shahrol spent about three hours before the bipartisan committee, where he said he provided "long lengthy answers".
"We look forward to cooperate further," he said after the meeting, declining to say anything further.
The PAC will next speak to 1MDB president Arul Kanda Kandasamy tomorrow as part of its probe into the state-owned firm's activities.
Aside from the PAC, the Auditor-General is also conducting an audit on the accounts of 1MDB, which has reportedly amassed debts of some RM42 billion since it was incorporated in 2009.
