KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 20 ― US President Barack Obama arrived in Malaysiatoday on the final leg of his sweep of summitry aimed at furthering Washington's bid to rebalance ties towards Asia and challenge China's increasingly assertive posture in the region.

The US President will attend weekend meetings of the 10-member Association of South East Asian Nations (Asean) followed by an East Asia Summit that brings in another seven nations, including China and Japan.
