KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 14 — Malaysia’s Foreign Ministry said today it has not received reports of any citizen injured or killed in the wave of terror that swept Paris yesterday and has resulted in at least 140 fatalities.

“So far, no Malaysians have been reported among the casualties,” the ministry said in a brief statement.

The ministry also condemned the multiple attacks across the French capital, echoing Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib’s earlier remarks.

“These heinous attacks reaffirms the need for all of us, everyone, to stand firm against terrorism.

“In this hour of grief Malaysia stands united with the families of the victims, the Government of France, and the French people,” the ministry said.

A series of bombings and shootings struck Paris last night at seven separate locations, including its national stadium where French President Francois Hollande was watching a football match between the home team and Germany, and a music venue where a US band Eagles of Death Metal was playing before a packed hall.

World leaders have condemned the assault on France by as yet unknown armed attackers, though some witnesses reportedly heard one gunman crying “Allahu akhbar” (Arabic for God is great) in the chaos.
