KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 12 ― Local actress Nora Danish has apologised for modelling a tudung that looked like a Christian nun’s wimple after she was criticised on Instagram.

Nora, who was modelling the headscarf for the launch of her hijab line “Owl” last week, also got hit with accusations that she was showing an Illuminati symbol for appearing with an owl on the catwalk.

“Honestly, I’m a positive-thinking person and I didn’t realise that I looked like a nun as claimed on social media,” Nora told mStar Online.

“But, I admit that it was my mistake for not being observant enough. I was the one who requested for clothes and a tudung like a hoodie, but when I modelled it on stage, I didn’t realise it was backwards and looked like that,” the 34-year-old added.

Nora, whose full name is Nora Danish Mohd Hanif, also told her critics that the owl she modelled with merely symbolised her headscarf line called Owl.

“I’m sad because the tudung was just launched, but people have already criticised it,” she was quoted saying.
