KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 2 ― A consortium of mosque cooperatives will be set up in the country, latest by end of the year, Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad (Angkasa) president Datuk Abdul Fattah Abdullah said.
“A total of RM1 million has been allocated for the establishment of the consortium and we are just waiting for the Cooperative Commission of Malaysia to approve it.
“For a start, a total of nine mosque cooperatives in the country have agreed to join the consortium,” he said.
He told reporters after closing a cooperative convention at As-Salam Mosque in Puchong here today. ― Bernama
