PETALING JAYA, Nov 1 — PAS is now showing its true colours and its desire to be friendly with Barisan Nasional (BN), DAP’s Lim Guan Eng said today after president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang reportedly said his party will not reject Budget 2016.

According to the DAP secretary-general, Pakatan Harapan will vote against the budget by the BN federal government although the opposition pact’s odds are next to zero, especially after PAS has stated its support for the budget.

“They’ve now shown that they want to be part of BN. They might once be part of the solution, but now they’re part of the problem,” Lim told reporters outside Selangor DAP ordinary convention.

“It’s clear now that he is now akin to being friends of BN,” he added, referring to Abdul Hadi.

In a report by Malay daily Sinar Harian today, Abdul Hadi said PAS will not “blindly” vote against Budget 2016 and will take a neutral stance instead.

Speaking at an event in Kuala Terengganu last night, the Marang MP said PAS will even send a team of advisors to help fine tune the budget with Umno

Hadi said PAS agreed with BN’s aid to the public, although the leader of the Islamist opposition party admitted there were weaknesses in its implementation and management.

In the same report, Abdul Hadi also said there were other ways to remove Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak instead of the no-confidence vote.
