KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 29 — The Federal Territories Ministry is allocating RM11 million for the construction of the second phase of Pudu Ulu Recreational Park in Cheras.
The 13-hectare project, which is expected to be completed in August next year, is the continuation of the construction of the 12-hectare phase one project, which was completed in November 2007.
Its minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said the park was aimed at creating a public park equipped with various recreational facilities for local residents.
“In carrying out development, the government never forget to add more green areas like this in the city for the people’s convenience,” he said at the ground-breaking ceremony of the recreational park, here today.
Among the facilities are a main plaza suitable for wedding receptions and a public paddling pool for children. — Bernama
